Ben Watanabe has been a sports journalist since 2002. Until recently, he covered high school sports for The Daily Journal in Vineland, N.J., where he worked for four years.
Ben has written for the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Portland (Maine) Press-Herald, the Patriot Ledger (Quincy, Mass.) and Dime Magazine.
Prior to that, he was sports editor of The Temple News at his alma mater, Temple University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in journalism.
He recently moved to Bethlehem, Pa., from Philadelphia. He currently works as a Web editor at The Express-Times in Easton, Pa., and is pursuing a master's degree in journalism at Columbia University.
Ben's career aspiration is to cover the NBA and one day write a book about Argentinian professional basketball.
